Welcome to Literal Seduction!

Howdy!

Literal Seduction is the brain child of a sometimes “out there” author that has a deep need to help other authors.

When I first started writing, I wanted my own space where I could connect to readers and other writers.  Unfortunately, options are somewhat limited in that arena.  I don’t mean limited as in we don’t have many options, but limited in the sense that the options available don’t allow authors to throw their creativity into their site as well as their writing.  Not only that, many of the free resources available require the subscriber to have obnoxious ads visible on their site.  I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want MY readers to see is a blinking ad asking them to buy an egg cooking blender.

So, lets evaluate the current options for site/blog hosting today:

Blogger:  Temperamental as all get out.  It can be worse than a teething two year old.  Design is limited by your imagination, but who cares if you can’t post anything to your site.

Myspace:  Ads.  Ads.  And more ads.  Ugh!  I don’t care if you can customize your site, do you really want all of those ads?

Wordpress.com:  Easy to manipulate with quite a few different themes available, but you can’t customize at all.  Who wants that?

So, what am I offering?  Free site/blog hosting as a subdomain of Literal Seduction.  (www.yourname.literalseduction.com)

What’s the catch?  Glad you asked.  There really isn’t one.  Yeah, I know, too good to be true.  So, let’s list what you’ll get and what I expect in return:

You get:

-Your own subdomain at Literal Seduction (www.yourname.literalseduction.com) to do with as you choose.
-If you are versed in html, css, and FTP, you’ll get your own anonymous FTP login so that you can make changes as necessary.
-Not familiar with all of this webby mumbo jumbo?  I’ll install Wordpress and assist you with installing the theme.  We’ll get your blog/site up and running in no time!  If you want a customized theme, I can create one for you at a resonable price.  Please see LS Designs.net for a listing of my services. 

Da Rules:
-You must link back to Literal Seduction in the footer of each page stating that your site is hosted by Literal Seduction.  You must also include the Literal Seduction badge in the sidebar of your blog (if applicable) show below:

-You must keep in contact with me.  If you do not email me at least once a month and do not contact me for two consecutive months, I will redirect your address to the Literal Seduction homepage.  The content of your site will not be deleted, it is yours, but it will not be accessible to the general webby world.
-No child pornography or anything deemed illegal within the United States of America.
-If your site contains adult content, you must have an easily visible under age warning.

 Just a note:  To keep me from pulling all of my hair out and going bald, I will be limiting the first offering of hosting to 10 authors.  Once they’re settled, I’ll consider (and probably will) increase the number of hosting spots at 10 site increments.  If I fill up the first ten spots quickly, I can and will place you on the waiting list for a site.  I’m sorry that it has to be limited in this way at first, but I’m only one gal trying to help the world.
